Assessing the Quality of a LED Panel Light

LED panels are a key element of office lighting; they are also responsible for a good proportion of the office electricity bill. It is important to select a panel that delivers a good lumens output per watt. Anything over 85lm/W is excellent, and such a panel light would be a good choice for the open spaces in the office. Quality LED panels offer natural energy conservation, and don’t require much of a consideration. They also allow offices to significantly reduce carbon emissions through reduction in electricity consumption. Facilities management divisions therefore tend to buy these lights to contribute in saving the environment. LED Panels offer efficient, quality, and a balanced even light output.

While checking the quality and lumens/watt of LED panels is important, it is also good to consider other parameters in the office, such as glare, brightness, average luminance, luminance uniformity, vertical uniformity, power density and other indicators throughout the office premises. LED panels have attributes such as colour temperature, colour rendering index, brightness, rated life, voltage, beam angle, and input power. According to a comprehensive analysis or lumens per watt, about 50 – 80lm/W light efficiency is displayed by all optical LEDs. However, mainstream levels of 70 – 90lm / W have been able to meet the requirement of every level of luminance.

The design standards, lighting, maintenance factors, power density and other indicators show the value of mainstream panels of LED lighting in comparison to fluorescent lamps and tubes which they replace. These panels have an output equivalence of more than 100-watts of fluorescent tubes, thus, saving over 50% energy.

While testing light emitting efficiency of these LEDs, light failurex may be due to poor quality brightness index, colour temperature, and other lighting barriers. However, as technology matures and panels are more widely used, these problems gradually reduce. LED panels are the perfect solution for energy efficiency.. Focus on energy-saving lighting should be on a high priority while considering current projects.
